Eileen Gray: Book design

Eileen Gray was a pioneer of the modernist movement establishing that warmth and comfort should be principle factors of modernist design. She began her career as a furniture designer and with no formal training turned her eye to architecture and designed one of her most controversial works, the E.1027 villa. Although she was not a fan of being in the spotlight during her career, her furniture works and architectural design style are recognized and reproduced today.
